November 1st through January 15th, and December 15th if you want an effective date for January 1st. The dates start November 1st, and they go through January 15th. The key is, is that if you go past December 15th, you're not going to get an effective date until February 1st. So it's imperative that you understand you have November 1st through December 15th to get a January 1st effective date. That's where you want correct changes made and to start at the beginning of the year. Bring your tax return from last year and/or your pay stubs. We'll sit down, and we'll walk through the income to use correctly on your application. For self-employed people, it's different from W-2 people. Give us a call at 918-236-4470. Let's schedule an appointment and get you in to get that corrected.

Every year, there's three things that change that nobody tells you about. For one thing is, is that all the Medicare carriers are in the background working with CMS, which is a government agency where they get approval for all their plans for the 2027 calendar year. Number two is that what everyone finds out is that, oh, well, my maximum out-of-pocket changed, or the tiers for my prescriptions changed, which changes your co-pays. Those are some of the big things that happen to you there. And then how does my premium get affected? It's working this year, so I'll just let it go. That's a mistake. Give us a call at 918-236-4470, or stop by and see us at 7712 South Yale Avenue, Suite 250. We'd love to see you.
What Changes in Your Medicare Plan Each Year?
David Harder on the changes that hit every January: carrier plans re-approved by CMS, new out-of-pocket maximums, drug tiers and copays, and premiums. Why letting it roll over is a mistake.

$2,400. That's the new maximum out-of-pocket for 2027. That number is up from $2,100 in 2026. That's your maximum out-of-pocket for your prescription drug plans for 2027, which is going from $2,100 to $2,400. The key is, is that you need to be in a preferred pharmacy and you need to be on a plan that has your prescriptions on that company's formulary. That is a key for 2027. Don't shop the premium. Shop the number that actually hits your wallet. Give us a call at 918-236-4470. Located at 7712 South Yale Avenue, Suite 250.

Medicare Supplement or Medicare Advantage. A few differences is that with a Medicare Supplement, you can go anywhere in the country to anyone that accepts Medicare. Medicare Advantage plans are almost always zero in premium, and you also have, with a Medicare Advantage, local providers that you will need to stick with. Turning 65 next year? Wondering what's the first call to make? It's not a 1-800 number. When you turn 65, you have three months before the month you turn 65 and three months after the month you turn 65, for a total of a seven-month window to sign up for Medicare. If you do not sign up within that period of time, there are penalties that follow you for the rest of your life. You don't need to call a 1-800 number where somebody is talking to you that will never have to talk to you again. Find a local agent that knows what they're doing, that cares about your ongoing relationship, that can help you and not misguide you. We're here. We'd love to help. Call us before the month of your birthday, not after your birthday. That is the key. Give us a call at 918-236-4470. We're here to help you. There's never a fee for our services. We'd love to see you. 7712 South Yale Avenue, Suite 250.

The number one mistake I see every October isn't picking the wrong plan, it's not looking. The biggest mistake we see is people not reviewing. We've seen people that with specialists that they've been with for years, they've got all their prescriptions all nailed down, and they're controlling their conditions, and they don't look at things. And the next year their prescriptions aren't covered or their doctor's out of network, and they're having to start all that process all over. It's very simple. Just give us a call. We'll schedule an appointment with you, and we'll sit down and make sure that we find you something that works. Don't cause yourself a heartache. Contact us. Let us walk through your options.
